Volunteers are rewarded with special lunch

Volunteers at Uppark, the National Trust property near South Harting, were thanked for their work at a special lunch.
Pimms, sandwiches and home-made cake were served to many of the 180 people who give their time to carry out a variety of unpaid tasks.
Property manager Julia Barker said: "Without their support, the property could not continue to work in the way it does.
"Volunteers are vital to the work of the National Trust, allowing it to conserve and open its properties, and Uppark is no different.
"The volunteers at Uppark do a variety of different roles which help our visitors enjoy the property.
"They help in the shop and restaurant, sell raffle tickets, take garden tours and also act as room stewards.
"They also help behind the scenes with conservation cleaning, flower arranging and helping in the office."
Among the benefits for people who volunteer are free entry to all National Trust properties and a 20 per cent discounts in trust shops.
